Who are we?

Welcome to the Grandplains Gymcats webpage! The Grandplains Gymcats is a gymnastics club based out of Grandview, MB that features recreation, competitive, and XCEL programs. Our programs offer classes for children as young as 3 years old (Kindergym) and 16+ years old.

In recreation, the athletes focus on the fundamentals of movement, incorporating fun into learning proper body mechanics and strengthening the connections between brain and body. Recreation classes are open to all youth ages 3-18. No previous experience is required.

In competitive gymnastics, the athletes focus on building on the skills learned from recreation, fine tuning their presentation and getting the athletes ready to compete provincially.

In XCEL, the goal is to provide athletes of varying abilities and commitment levels with the opportunity for a rewarding competitive gymnastics experience. Athletes will compete optional routines fulfilling 4 Special Requirements on each apparatus. This program gives athletes the opportunity to train and complete skills and routines that suit their strengths rather than competing compulsory content as in the Junior Olympic Program. The XCEL Program offers levels in: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond. Athletes must be 9 years old to compete at this level.

Our goal at Grandplains Gymcats is to encourage our athletes to always try their best and to set attainable goals. Our goal is to teach children new skills and routines in a safe and fun environment.
